Re: Just off-campus, Capital: Holly W/Noah N
Noah was focused on Holly, like, intensely. He was sort of easily distracted, you know, most of the time. He tended to fidget and look around and that kind of thing—which didn't always mean a lack of focus, obviously—but, tonight, though he did move unthinkingly with the music, he was snared by Holly, by the way his wet lips shining in the shimmer of lights. He smiled dopily as Holly called out for more drinks and he gave the bartender—as he lobbed a look at the lovebirds—a very winning smile, the kind that usually got Noah what he wanted. The man smiled back, and Noah considered that victory as he looked back to Holly, his attention settling as heavily as a wandering hand to thigh. "Dude, being out of my mom's, for one, has just made me feel better in general." It was crazy to Noah, even though it was probably obvious why he felt how he did. But, it was nice to not have to avoid someone all the time. That took a toll. "And just... you just make me happy. Being with you and getting to know you and convincing you to do stupid things you like to think you'd never do. I feel good when I'm with you and around you. I know things always seem bumpy, like, in my life, or yours, but that's a constant." All of his words were earnest, and Noah pulled out one of his little umbrellas as he finished his own sunrise, and he tucked it behind Holly's ear, if the dude let him.
Then, yeah, Mark, drugs, whatever. Noah was already paying more attention to Holly. He laughed with a force of air through his nose when Holly repeated his correction. And, hey, look, if Noah'd been asked, he would've clarified that he hadn't been admitting to his hotness, only to how Mark saw him. Did he know he had an effect on people? Yeah. Which was more or less his understanding of his own attraction, since it was always felt through a lens not his own. But, maybe that did make him vain. He wasn't really thinking about it. He was tipping his head toward Holly's fingers as they traced that scar by his lips. "Do you want me to tell you what I hear people think about you? It might change, like, your outlook on that." It wasn't something he'd ever thought to offer, like, anyone, even Holly, but he was feeling a little loose right now, and there were the lemon drops. Noah tucked his own umbrella into curls and took his drink and Holly's. He passed Holly a glass as he lifted his own to his lips, after that sheepish peep. He took a small sip, tasting the bright blossom of lemon, then smiled. "Yeah. Especially if they think about your lips." Noah ducked in, to kiss Holly lemon-bright in the dark.
