Oh yes, Mars had already decided that Tandy, who looked tawny as some mythological farm boy in the bonfire's dying light, was definitely small town. Nothing at all like her, because you see, she was very big city... despite knowing nothing of big cities, aside from what could be learned from romantic comedies. Frankly, she didn't know very much about small towns either except for what she'd experienced thus far in Repose. If Tandy's label was small town, then hers was assuredly hospital room.
It was true that he'd come out here, so had she. They couldn't be blamed for losing interest in the same tail end of a party. At least he had friends here, some reason to stick around. Which is why it actually surprised her when he offered to walk with. "Main Street. It's not that far."
