Re: Under the trees: Misha/Damian
Misha's classes were performance classes, so being present was real important. He hadn't kept it from Damian none, that he hadn't gone in a long spell, but could be he should've realized Damian accepted it as not real important. But he was working on it now, and he was trying to do it on his own, and none of it mattered just now. He wasn't even feeling melancholy none. Worried some, as Damian approached, but not melancholy. Misha knew he'd been down a whole, whole lot recent, but he was trying to buoy himself and do better, and being 'round folks enjoying themselves helped. Even the worry 'bout Damian acting strange didn't ruin his good feeling, least not when he looked at the boy's pupils and ascertained this wasn't drugs.
He was surprised when Damian went from squinting to laughing. Damian, he didn't laugh a whole lot, and it was just more proof that something was changed. He was looking over Damian's shoulder a moment later, as the boy gestured that way, and he pressed his cheek 'gainst Damian's lips for that kiss, but then he drew back again. Real brief, and just 'nough to nudge Damian back with hands now at Damian's belly. "You dance with me, and you tell me what you done today, and then I'll say how much I missed you," he offered, not waiting for Damian's agreeing 'fore nudging the boy back more and settling hands real firm at the small of the boy's back. He hid his worry some by pressing his chin to Damian's shoulder, cheek to Damian's cheek, and the music was slow 'nough for swaying slow, unrushed, and Misha just waited for Damian to outline his day.
