Re: Near the docks: Jeremiah/Liam
Heart gave a slight bark, it didn't seem hostile, but it was unlike her, and his attention was pulled in by the chocolate Labrador for an instant. He pulled her in a little closer, ran his hands behind her ears, and turned to the person next to him. He smelled a little as if he'd been swimming, although his clothing didn't look wet.
He offered a smile anyway. "I apologize for Heart, usually she's pretty friendly to strangers, but I'll keep her over here."
He didn't recognize the face, wasn't certain who the man who was sitting next to him was, but there were still a lot of people in town he didn't know. Part of having largely lived like a hermit in his mansion for the past few months meant that he just didn't know that many people. And he was determined to change that. He probably had to change that, because he wasn't made to hide in an old house by himself all day. Any secrets he had were largely out now, so if someone recognized him or didn't care to know him because of his past would probably make that known. "I'm Jeremiah," he offered. And after a beat, he tilted his head. "But I go by Hugh, mostly. Are you enjoying the party?"
