Re: Coffee prize: Ren S & Noah N
"An interview's a start anyway," Ren gave Noah an optimistic sort of smile, even as he gave it hoping it wasn't too much so. Truth was it did suck to have to look for a job when you'd thought that sort of nonsense was settled, whatever the reason, and add to it the sort of public talk Noah had no doubt been getting? Heck, Ren knew it was happening cause when he'd put together two and two he'd heard stuff about 'that teacher', there just hadn't been any connect prior to. "Tutoring'd be something you'd be good at, yeah? Little bit of a commute but that's not the worst." It's not like there were jobs a dozen in Repose anyway.
He finished off the milk, poured it in with syrup and espresso, and then the cinnamon before he slid it across the counter to Noah. "I'm going to do another play, yeah. I want to anyway, it was nice, and I liked doing it, and I was going to do a musical, but I've been not sure what to do, and I don't know, I got kinda caught up in personal stuff, but I think I'm ready to decide on one and get it going again."
He reached for the shots of espresso he'd set aside when Noah had come in and he quickly downed part of the drink and then set it down on the counter in front of him. "I don't even know -" his gaze drifted outside. "The weekend was weird. I don't think it should have been, but it was."
