Re: Hannah S/Claire J
She's mad and hurt. I can tell, and I don't know what to do about it. I told Jeremiah we talked, that she and I talked, and that he should talk to her, but that's all I could do. [...] How do you make sure you're not misunderstood, then? If communication is about saying things and being understood, then it's not very effective if people all hear different things, right?
Maybe you should make new friends. I know people that do what you say, but I know different people too. Like Ren, he's different, isn't he? And I met someone in the dream, a man named Aleksi, and we speak the same language somehow. Everyone doesn't have to be negative, and maybe a few people who really understand us is what matters most. I don't feel very understood here, but I do think there are one or two people who I can be me around, and who will understand that I'm how I am, and I try to understand them. It's too hard to be friends with people who immediately act attacked, or people who martyr themselves. Friendship shouldn't be hard, and maybe we just need to find people who communicate the same way we do.
But the suffering wasn't your fault. The minimizing of suffering, that's what you're responsible for. It's good, Claire. It's not bad.
