Re: In-person: Holly W/Noah N
[Noah smelled like skin, salt, some sweat, his bed, last night's shampoo. Like himself, mostly. His day hadn't been traumatizing, nor had it involved anything like needles and blood. God, he really wanted Holly out of the military stuff. He knew he couldn't do anything about it, but he hated it, dude. He really did. Maybe if it was just a normal job it'd be different, but it so wasn't, and the only thing having the, like, connection did was really drive that point home.
He held onto Holly's arms as the dude hugged him again.] Having you. Keeping you. Being with you. Being yours. Talking to you. Feeling you. It's all those things. [It was easy for Noah to list that stuff off. He did it with a slight smile in his voice and he nuzzled back against Holly once. You know, before they moved on. He did laugh a little at Holly's admission.] I know you don't. [Because he did.—And Holly might've managed calm, like, outwardly, but Noah still felt everything. He perked though, at the talk of tests.] Is Adrian running the tests? Maybe he can lie? Maybe you can be not healthy enough? [Noah twisted his neck, trying to look back at Holly. He chewed on his lips, really not at all reassured about the 'contingency plan' of a suit with a rope attached to it.] Who else has gone in? And did they come out?
