Re: In-person: Holly W/Noah N
[Let's call Noah an accommodating person. It was probably partially because his wants got twisted up with Holly's, so that when the dude wanted something and told him to do it, a part of him wanted to do it too. But, even if 99% of the time he was willing to go along (or wanting to go along), the, like, blocking of the connection or whatever wasn't something he wanted to give on. Sleeping in Holly's bed though? No, that was fine. He actually wanted that.
He didn't want to be three feet away though. He didn't really know why Holly was saying it and even the mind-meld didn't let him know Holly was about to move. Noah hugged himself almost immediately, feeling the cold of the night suddenly, and not moving until Holly beckoned him. Then he traipsed on his socks over to the tree Holly had sat next to, feet spread, and he knelt in the grass. He let himself be, like, manhandled into the position Holly wanted him in, and his hands went up to hold the dude's arms where they crossed over his, Noah's, chest. He sat back against Holly, leaning his head back a little to the dude's shoulder/cheek/whatever. His legs were crossed, words stretching on the fabric taut over his thighs.] It's more than catching you, [was his protest. He sighed.] It's not a bad thing though! I don't care about crying. I'm—I'm crying now because I remembered how BAD it felt with Aleksi and I don't want you to go to that place. And because any time I try to think of, like, not being connected, it feels really cold and alone. [Noah chewed on his bottom lip. Holly asked him about the portal, the one Noah didn't know, like, if it even went to the same place, and he was busy thinking about it as Holly let himself feel his fear.
To Noah, it didn't feel much different than it normally did. The fear was there, an acid knot in his stomach, and he could feel his breathing pick up as his body responded.] I... [He curled his knees to his chest/Holly's arms.] It could be a totally different place. But, there's something here. Gunster knew about it too. Some place that's Repose, but different. Not burnt, but almost. With monsters and terror and black and... and... [Noah's eyes had closed, screwed shut, and he shook his head as he kept hanging on to Holly's arms, his grip tightening a little.] He was so scared.
