Re: In-person: Holly W/Noah N
[Holly would never agree to label Noah as selfish, regardless of this, of anything, really, because glimmers of self-need didn't make a person selfish. That was just being human, right? At least Holly thought so, and Noah was selfless like all the time. Anyway, no, he wasn't expecting the hug. He was expecting words and arguments. He wasn't expecting Noah in his glasses, pajamas making him look so crazy young, and the dampness on the guy's face that indicated tears not too far in the rearview. So, yeah, he held on. He hugged Noah back, and he slid a hand along Noah's back and tangled fingers in curls. His voice was way calm, even if his feelings were like acid sloshing in his belly, and he didn't break the hold until Noah pulled back. He cupped the guy's cheeks, and he looked at his face, eyes acclimating to the post-headlight dark.] Hey. [Just that. Just 'hey.' Like, forcing calm before he tried to talk, and looking at Noah, knowing the guy was there and okay? It made Holly feel calmer.]
