Re: In-person: Holly W/Noah N
[Noah would be the first to admit that, if their places were reversed, he'd probably be determined too, man. He wouldn't want to feed someone—least of all Holly—all his bad feels. That said, their places weren't reversed and Noah needed and depended on his connection with Holly in a way he hadn't exactly realized. He knew now that, even to go without it for Holly's sake would be, like, bad. For him. Not for Holly. For him. And people could call him selfless all they wanted, but it was a selfish thing on Noah's end. This was, in particular. And he didn't want to let it go, not even to soothe the other dude.
He didn't really know that Holly was expecting something else. Noah'd been riding the dude's concern and worry in the quiet, all underneath his own bubbling emotions. And, whatever, he just wanted a hug. He squeezed Holly to him, against him, and he pressed his wet nose to the dude's neck, in the thicket of long hair that he found comfort in.] I know, [he said, his words watery.] I'm sorry. I'm not trying to—[He just hugged and breathed for a second, then, gulping down a single, bracing breath, he pulled back. In the dark, he gave a wet smile.] Hi.
