Re: log: Dietre & Liam
Liam’s grip was cold enough to hurt. Still, Dietre did not pull away. Whatever pain he felt was penance for being a terrible friend. He stood there doing his best not to fall apart. It had been a while since he felt this bad, he had been on a good luck streak. He had Pippin and Aleksi now, and even Damian was being somewhat civil to him. He had been feeling too much happiness, the balance had to be restored, and it seemed Liam was paying the price.
In between his weeping, Dietre managed to speak, “W-what can I do… Do you want me to h-help you?” Spirits did not show themselves for no reason. His thoughts jumped to Nilus and his soldier, over seventy years dead yet the angel had brought him back to life. But Dietre did not know how to contact him. The angel was gone.
He squeezed the hand that he shouldn't have been able to feel at all and bowed his head in guilt. "...I'll do whatever you ask me to."
