Re: [Secondhand books: Hannah & Aleksi]
Hannah smiled and smiled. She knew she'd startled him with the touch, but she wasn't really surprised to have done it. Hannah touched, and Hannah stood in people's personal space, and Hannah really wasn't very good at all about observing societal niceties. She knew, but she also knew he wasn't angry, and he wasn't leaving, and she understood maybe he wasn't very accustomed to touch. "Hi," she echoed when he gave her that small smile, and she didn't mind his clothing. She liked clothes, and she like fashioned, and she leaned toward the whimsical and vintage, but she appreciated his comfort and didn't mind it at all. At present, her bare toes were pressing against the wooden floor, and she was the last person who would judge someone based on attire.
"It's really nice to meet you, too," she said, and if she noticed his stumble it didn't show.
Instead, she motioned toward where the tables were clustered on the other side of the shop, opposite the counter and the baristas and treats there. "Do you want to sit and have something to drink? We can take books if you want." She looked over to the shelf he'd been perusing, curious and curious and curiouser about what he'd been looking at. "I feel like I already know you," she said, and maybe that sounded weird, but it was true. He was her Rabbit, even if she'd just now seen his face for the very first time. And, for him, she was Alice and ever would be.
