Dietre tended to stick with whatever name a person introduced themselves as, save for when he and Oliver labeled each other Rose and Romeo. So, he was a bit surprised that Pippin jumped to ‘Alex’ right off the bat. He canted his head at the werewolf and tried to fit the nickname to him, but he remained firmly an ‘Aleksi.’ Though, Dietre did quite like ‘Aleksandr’.
“Um… Well. I think she means to ask how we met and how things are between us,” was his gentle explanation, again trying to avoid embarrassing Aleksi. Dietre was hesitant to answer, the werewolf’s secrets were his own to reveal. He didn’t quite know how to describe their meeting without leaving glaring holes in the narrative. Someone as curious and perceptive as Pippin was sure to catch on that things were missing.
Brows furrowed, Dietre fumbled along as he told the story. “...We met in the old orchard. I was walking Sieglinde and she found Aleksi, and, um… She took to him right away.” His gaze bounced between his boyfriend and Pippin, nervous.
“Aleksi didn’t have a place to stay… So, I invited him to live in my house at the carnival since I wasn’t using it. We found out we have a lot in common, and… we get along, and--” Here Dietre began to blush. It was hardly a sweeping romance, the vague way he was telling it, but he simply did not know how to explain how he felt. “...Here we are, I suppose…” He winced and gave everyone an apologetic look.
