Re: Down: Lucifer / Misha
"Everyone has strengths, and everyone has weaknesses." He watched as Misha mused, and it was easy enough to follow the boy's thoughts even without the external monologue. Of course Misha was special (his parentage saw to that), but it didn't mean that he should keep himself from the things he enjoyed or excelled at. And Lucifer could tell that the classes of dancing and music were important - enough that they shouldn't be allowed to disappear from Misha's life so easily. "It's not cheating to play to your strengths. It's simply knowing yourself."
Trust was a very foreign thing to him, especially layered on top of the fact that Misha was more than a stranger or acquaintance. There were plenty of people he'd known for ages, those Above and Below, and so few of them actually trusted him. Even those that always turned to him didn't actually place their trust in him. It set him a bit more out-of-sorts to see it in Misha's expression, and there was a hint of terror that bloomed behind his ribs. In the silence of their shared space, there was a moment of sound - nearly the way wings should sound when rustled in agitation - but it faded as quickly as it began.
"I'll see. Some don't want help." He stood though, knowing that he needed time to think and to re-gather himself. Especially before speaking with the vigilante. But before turning to walk himself out of the grove, he paused to look down at Misha. The want of something was painted across that young face, and it wasn't difficult for Lucifer to translate it. He stepped closer after only a second's though, and leaned over to press a kiss to the boy's head, where hairline met forehead. "Be good, Mishael..." It was spoken in a language only ever heard Above, quiet enough that no one else would be able to hear the words.
And then he stepped back, straightened. "Enough of you. Get yourself back now." It was a dismissal, but accompanied by a smile and not a cold one, and there was a lifting push around Misha in the direction of where and when he'd been before their visit.
