Re: Down: Lucifer / Misha
It was likely a matter of the two of them not knowing each other yet. Had Misha known Lucifer even a bit better, he would be aware that he (Misha) had been claimed in a way very few had, and with that claim came an odd sort of self-imposed responsibility. At least when Lucifer wasn't busy trying to tie his own mind back together in the face of perceived loss. But the claim meant that a slight to Misha was something that would likely see retribution of a sort. Within reason - or as much reason as Lucifer had. And if that was something that would keep Misha from talking, he would keep it hidden for as long as possible so that he could learn more about his son.
Lucifer frowned at Misha's dismissal of his music. And he shook his head. "If you can make music, and you love it, then that's something to do with your life." So many people dismissed art and music as little more than frippery, but it was vital for so many souls, human and other. And as Misha's family tree grew from Above, his music would hold even more power than that of humans. To drop it by the wayside would be the sort of loss the world would suffer from. "Don't treat it like it's nothing."
There had to be a him. That was one way of looking at it. Whatever his Father had designed in order to keep "balance" among those with free will, he was apparently part of it. He'd had too many years to try (and fail) to get used to that concept. But his own position was entrenched, and Misha's problem was new, and he met it with a frown. "How did you get involved with a vigilante?"
