Re: Down: Lucifer / Misha
"Neither do I, Mishael. Never did." He glanced over, serious even though Misha was joking. "And I have any number of brothers and sisters. You've met a number of them." His quirked eyebrow was wry as it was raised.
Lucifer noticed the glance around at the grove and shook his head. Misha's thoughts were written clear enough across young expression. "Don't try. They'll wither and take the trees with it, and then nothing at all will grow in this spot again." Lucifer had his own Grace, though a bit battered, and he had a longer time existing Below and becoming attuned to its strange and syncopated rhythms, so different than either Earth or Above. It had been a very long process of trial and error to get his little sanctuaries built.
"Look around. You'll see what I go by." He caught the twinkle and stretched out a long let to poke Misha's knee with one sooty toe. "I'm hardly Yeshua, and we both know it. Troublemaker. Besides, in Repose, even a Jesus would gain attention," he says it with a breathy 'h' instead of a hard 'j'. "And you know that a Lucifer is a bit harder to ignore. Especially when combined with some of the others that reside there." He shakes his head and reaches down past the far side of his chair to lift a mug that's half-filled with something that steams. "Besides that, as far as it being a secret, you don't think Claire has to be careful about her Church? Even after the clusterfuck of the past few weeks?"
