Re: [In-person: Dami & Misha.]
What will you say to your girl? [Damian did consider Misha's hypothetical and, indeed, he did see what the boy intended. He did not desire to admit as much, but it was so. He tutted, then sighed.] Fine. It would, however, be an irrational response on my part, as it would not be real. [His gaze narrowed slightly.] Did you sleep with someone during the dreaming? I suppose if it is a woman, then I will find it less a threat, as there is a lower chance of reprisal. [All of this was rattled off perfunctorily, though Damian was in earnest. As for Misha's being self-pitying, well, this was obvious.] You say this in the preterite tense, as if it is something concluded. You are finished? You were sullen even as it occurred. I understand this reaction, but I do not think it was wise. [Damian wriggled his toes as Misha's gaze fell upon them. He peered down at this boy.] Quiet is not meek. You are not meek, save when you are feeling guilty. You would not tell me to cease everything I do, lest I injure someone as I have before. You will tell me it is because I have not injured anyone as you have by attempting to help, but I find this argument weak. [He tapped Misha's chin.] You are not weak. Come. [He fetched up the drink and sought about for any shoes.] Where are my boots?
