Janus listens to this new litany of possibility. "Complicated," comes the answer. "I assume when you say 'old friend,' he's not actually a friend," the demon says, dryly. "Must be bad if you're rethinking the Deal." An observation, not a question, but the demon is tired and now friendly, rather than neutral. He sits on the couch, uninvited, one knee to Eames'. It's not a come-on, at least not so far, just a comfort level. "Why don't you just ask me for his heart in a tupperware instead?"
