Re: In-person: Daniel/Noah
No one—and I mean, no one—in Noah's family would look on at him marrying a dude and cry anything but tears of bitterness and/or contempt, man. If anything, they'd try to stop it. But, like I said, he got why Daniel wanted to've been there, and maybe if they did things again, like, properly, they could invite him and a couple people. And they could all look on affectionately and cry happy tears. Holly could roll his eyes. It'd be great.
But, until then, even if it was just in spirit, Noah would be totally glad to be sort of 'one of the family' with the last name. And in his excitement, which often got the best of him, he'd given Daniel a jovial, if too familiar, slap on the back. Noah was too oblivious in his frenetic emotions and the ambient spillover, that he only kinda got that maybe he wasn't supposed to do that, when Daniel blinked at him. He offered half a smile. "Yeah, dude, sure."
Daniel was retreating. Noah was pretty sure he hadn't actually calmed the dude. He chewed his lip as Daniel glanced at the door. "Okay. I'll probably stay then. But, if I leave, I'll make sure the door's locked." He smiled again at Mr. W, and then, not really knowing what else to do, he headed to the stairs and hurried up to close himself into Holly's room.
