A few steps in, past the cashier's stool, Daniel obviously felt that Noah was protected from the street beyond. Noah seemed relatively sure of his answer, enough that Daniel in turn was reassured, though that nervous lip-chewing didn't particularly help. "Testing is dangerous. I don't know what is in his blood, if he is a descendent of mine. Certainly the conception was not natural." Typically Daniel would talk around a traditionally delicate subject like this, but not at the moment. He moved around Noah, stepping three times to do so and with an unnatural speed, to be sure the door was shut solidly. Noah smelled good, and Daniel was hungry, but he pushed that aside. "It is good if it will 'look okay.' When will he be back? Is he going to go into hiding then, as soon as we may get him away?"
