Watched the cigarette lighting with interest. This Atticus was extremely interested in the supernatural. Hadn't lost a kid in a school accident yet. Hadn't summoned a demon, either. Just read about things that weren't his own haunts. "Trading memories something you do regularly?" he asked curiously. Had read some arguments about it, so there was knowledge in his hazel gaze at that moment. "Assume I'm seeing you how you are, since I'm pre-deal?" Assumed. Couldn't be sure. Time was an anomaly here, and nothing was linear.
"To hear the kid tell it, old-man me takes good care of him. Think you both see him differently. Seems like it, from where I'm sitting. Good kid. Can't leave here. Think he deserves some adult supervision. But not pushing that on you," he explained. "Not too impressed with what I become. Have every right to be pissed at me. You," he added for clarity.
