Re: Hannah & Jeremiah; Jester's Court
Jeremiah nodded, because maybe he didn't know, but he didn't discount what she'd said and he didn't want falsehoods either, which really meant that he needed to come clean on the one that he was holding onto, and he knew it, but even knowing that didn't make it easier.
"I don't want something built on falsehoods," he shook his head, carefully considering his words, as his gaze found hers and he caught it and the only thing in his line of sight was her. Everything else, the castle, the park, the shadows that made up their subjects, had melted away, and the only thing he could see was cornflower blue and the tilt of her head. "And I don't know everything, but I know what you've said, and I know that you've said this to me before, and I believe you when you say it's true. And I know about Amy," he offered quietly. His tongue darted out to moisten his lips, uncertainly forging ahead. "I know that you're an AI - I've known since Christmas. You don't have to hide from me, Hannah. I want to know you." He reached his fingers up to brush hair back from her temple, gently as if she might actually be a bird that would fly away. "I don't need a perfect love story and I don't need you to be all sunshine - but I do want to get to know you better. I do want you - all the pieces that I know, and the pieces that I've yet to discover and maybe the pieces you've yet to discover too."
