Re: sushi-time: adrian, patrick, lou
Patrick listened, and when the waitress came with the food he thanked her and gave her that winning Gunster smile that he would most eagerly exchange if it meant not being related to Webster. He asked for a fresh beer, and he considered remaining quiet while Lou and Adrian had their discussion about weird families. But Lou was looking his way, man, and Patrick shook his head and did not fumble with the chopsticks as he popped a piece of sashimi into his mouth.
Once he had swallowed, he shook his head again. "You did not shut me down. It seemed my bro wanted light, man, and this is about you two. I am just the third wheel." His smile said he did not mind this. He was most glad Lou was here for Adrian, and he was content to eat good food and allow them to find their rapport. He and Lou had already spent sweaty box-opening hours together, and now it was his bro's turn.
He was (however) impressed when Lou gave a blunt reply to Adrian's question about what she was. He saluted her with his chopsticks, and he glanced over at his bro. "I am always worried about family, man, and my bro is the only family remaining in town." The dude on the forums was another matter. "No, man. The dude on the forums seemed like a good guy. He was sharing his frustrations with the inability of this town to keep their magical shit under wraps. I believe he is covering as best he can for us all with the military. It is not him that concerns me. My concern stems from the fact that they are hiring people to take note of what we are doing," he explained, popping another piece of sashimi into his mouth once the explanation was complete.
