Re: [Tandy & Holly: the good diner]
"I don't know anything about you getting taken to a hospital. Like, Repose's tiny joint?" Holly asked, because that seemed kinda more tangible than their differing opinions on relevance. His Repose had possessed a tiny, cruddy little hospital that was the same as the one here, but he didn't know that Tandy had ever gone to it. And, look, Holly was way into practicality. They could talk about their opinions until they were blue in the face, and those opinions still wouldn't prove anything. So, you know, maybe tangible stuff would prove things. I mean, his best plan right now was for the three of them to sit down and compare notes. Or, you know, four of them, since Noah and Travis were way close, and Noah could offer clarity on everyone here in a way none of them could. But, right, practicality also said that comparing notes wouldn't change anything. And, too, Holly didn't want anything changed. Travis did, and maybe Tandy did, but Holly had no interest. And if Travis was right that he, Holly, was somehow the genesis point of all this, then he was probably required to change shit, and he wasn't planning on being a sacrificial lamb for anyone else's happiness. Unfortunately, he just wasn't that guy.
"Look, even if you do manage it again. Even if we do get together and compare notes, you, me, Travis, and Noah, then what happens? Do we fuck with it? I'm not comfortable fucking with stuff I don't entirely comprehend. So, what do we win with knowledge? Just knowing for the sake of knowing? I mean, I know Trav wants to reverse it," he said, because why not put it out there and find out everyone's agenda? "Do you want to flip it around? And, you know, as far as I know? Nothing was precipitated by anything. Well, except for your thing and Halloween? But that was a long way back, and I don't even know how you reproduce that."
