Re: [Tandy & Holly: the good diner]
Tandy liked salt and chocolate but the fry/shake combo wasn't up for discussion. What was on the table was world-altering non-reality and he kind of wished this was the kind of conversation that ended with fry talk and a sketch he didn't feel terrible about. But Tandy was kind of an avoider. Of conflict, of serious discussions, of anything that meant tapping in past the plexiglass wall he had most effectively built himself and okay, he was self-aware enough to get it. He just wasn't copacetic with the idea of breaking loose.
But okay. Academic hipster, and he raised both eyebrows. "Okay. No working hypothesis. A collection of facts that may or may not be substantiated. But there's commonality in a common reality, or a close-to-common reality." Which sucked, which wasn't remotely academic but it also made it clear that there wasn't a neat solution to switching back. Tandy wasn't sure on the switch in/switch back combo, but he liked the idea of having some working control over his present situation.
"What do you mean you just showed up here, poof? Where did you show up? Is Travis physically different or is he the exact same? I am not up for wandering hospital halls. I hate hospitals." Which Tandy did, with a loathing that was somewhere rooted in the aftermath of a Facility incident, but you know, same difference.
"We're resting a lot on my switching," Tandy said, and he ate a fry slowly as he contemplated whatever forcing mechanism might exist. "And my switching I don't even know how."
