"I have had many feasts in my time, too," Ragnar laughed. "Some too rough to be considered a dinner. But my people have not always been known for their table manners. Just the food."
He had no reason to think that he and Mason would find each other tedious. They had an interesting chemistry between them, and Ragnar enjoyed it. They would have enough in common to keep each other stimulated.
"Archie," Ragnar nodded in acknowledgement. "And no, nothing so good as having it live-" he teased. That hadn't been his intention, but if people - Mason and Archie - quite enjoyed it then there was no problem.
His smile faded a little bit as Mason questioned him. Not the point about his love life, Ragnar was hardly shy about that. But the rest-? "He was never...we have never had a relationship. A physical relationship. It is quite complicated." Mason would probably enjoy those complications. "He lived with my late wife and I when we first met. They are the only two people I have ever loved. And it has been a very long time since we last saw each other. I do not expect his preferences to have changed, he didn't wish to be my lover then, I am not deluded enough to expect that to have changed, but it will be enough to see him."
