Re: Home: Iris and Manning
Once he would he have worried that she was going simply because he wanted her to, not because she wanted to go. Now? Now they were moving to the same dance, his hands going down to cup her ass and hold her aloft when her thighs fit around him like they'd done it a hundred times before -- and they had, but perhaps not that many. He grinned against her mouth.
"Yeah, yeah I am. I told you that years ago," he said, a touch more serious, because he'd meant it then, and meant it today. "Oh, I'm going to have you," he promised and kissed her again, for no reason other than he could -- but there was something that had to be done, something he had been preparing for for years.
With a quiet sigh, and his mouth still curling in a smile, he set her down on the floor. and bent to touch their foreheads together. She deserved this, and he kissed her one last time lightly as he pulled the ring box out of his pocket. "I want you to be my wife," he said quietly and got down on one knee, fingers popping the box open. "Will you marry me?"
