Museum: Connor and Ragnar Who: Connor/Athelstan and Ragnar What: Meeting Where: Museum of Natural History When: Current Warnings/Rating: Definitely some feels.
The dream had happened on his flight over the Atlantic. Ragnar and Ronan were in the same place, and he knew he should have been concerned about that. Such coincidences did not happen without orchestration, but he could not yet see who was pulling the strings. Nor could he see where they would end, but if it was true -- he stopped in the town long enough to secure lodgings for the night at the B&B. There was little to unpack, but he showered for some sense of rinsing the travel off his skin and out of his pores before he was back on the road again. This time he was in the back of an Uber and on his way to the museum.
It gave him a chance to leave a message for Ronan in the hopes that he would respond and not continue running. It was a chance that he had to take as the car pulled up in front of the building and he stepped out. His hair was longer than the last time he had seen Ragnar, the ends dusting over his shoulders, but he'd cleaned up his permanent 5 o'clock shadow.
There had been a brief debate on what to wear, only he was sure Ragnar didn't care what he was wearing, at any time. So a sweater and a pair of jeans it was as he entered the building and headed for the information desk.
Only to realize that he didn't know what name Ragnar was using, if it was different than the one he had known him under. "I'm looking for the curator of the Viking artifacts." He hoped, only to have the woman behind the desk supply the name for him.
"Ragnar? Do you have an appointment?"
He shook his head. "No, I --"
"Your name? I'll call to see if he's available."
Here he paused, tongue darting out to wet his lips. "Athelstan." It was not a name he'd gone by recently, but it was the only one Ragnar would know. The woman raised an eyebrow, obviously waiting for a last name. "Monk," he finally tacked on.
