Ragnar understood that it was an overwhelming thing to offer to someone like Leander, who had to sleep with people to survive. To give him a room and food and a roof over his head for nothing- it was probably confusing.
"Come with me-" he said gently, opening the door to his bedroom. "Take your shoes off." He could break it down, be a little more gentle with it. Ragnar lead Leander to his bed, dropping himself onto the mattress and reclining easily. He patted the space beside him. "Come."
"I understand I am putting a lot on you with this offer. It is simply that I think it will help you. It will give you some grounding and it will give you something positive. And I want you to take that as it is. You do not owe me anything. I just want to see you take this opportunity to turn yourself around." Ragnar reached for his hand again, holding it gently in his own. "If I ask you to come to bed with me then I will pay you, of course. Perhaps we will end up here out of circumstances some nights, and I would like to think that is just for mutual benefits. You are worth more than the price you put on your body, and I would like you to learn that."
