Ragnar inclined his head in what was a nod. He had adapted, but he had never let himself forget who he was, or where he had been.
Her answer gave Ragnar no more clue as to what he was supposed to expect, and he frowned again. Tempted? By what? By whom? Remain true to whom? "I still do not understand. But I will do my best-" a little smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "My wife would tell you I am not that good at resisting temptation."
Still, he leant into the touch to his cheek, wistful again at the visage the woman before him had taken. Ragnar's eyes closed at the kiss, a heavy sigh following. "I am grateful. You are kind. Thank you."
He picked up his spear again as they returned to their hunt, his eyes back to scanning the forest, even if he was a little distracted. He would not let her down.
