Re: Mean-Eyed Cat: Cat/Em
[The pinking of Em's cheeks made Cat chuckle. Oh, to experience that again, and it had been a very long time since anyone had made her blush like that, since anything had. She had to wave a hand, though, when Em said she and Eddie couldn't be together like most people, as if there was a most people. There wasn't, was there? For people like them, and she knew it wasn't Em's fault, not really. It was home. It was going from villain to not, going from gray to whatever they'd all become out there, taking Bruce's causes as their own, and now left adrift. They weren't criminals anymore, were they? But they weren't part of a team, and was it any wonder Eddie didn't know what he wanted?
But Cat knew the other side too. Em's side, and being left behind.] Just be you. [She sipped her shot this time, unhurried.] I had moments when I lived for Bruce. After twenty years of obsession, well, maybe that's not so surprising. But it was easy to lose me, and he never liked me as much when I did. Find Em, and let the rest fall into place.
