She knew it was just friendly concern, and in Claire's mind he had every right to state those thoughts for the well-being of another person. But he only knew about the one. Both of her hands were in similar states of healing, along with both of her feet, and a rather deep gash in her side. All had been medically treated by specialists at the Vatican, and while they wanted her to stay and rest there, Claire had begged to come back here. "It won't happen again," she reassured him, because that much she could say without it being a lie. Her fingers squeezed his gently before he released her hand, and while the young warrior didn't fluster or embarrass, she did have that shy flicker in her eyes. "Thank you," added softly as she put her hands into the pockets of her jacket, "I appreciate the sentiment."
