[wren & jeremiah]
"Oh, you don't need to apologize," Jeremiah returned quickly feeling bad that he'd upset Wren. "Just, you're welcome is really all I meant. It's nice to have company, and I enjoy seeing you."
The young man's words tended to confirm what Jeremiah suspected though. He felt warm, but he was shivering. He probably did have a fever, and there was that moment of worry that maybe he had something truly dangerous and Jeremiah had exposed himself, but it passed almost before it could settle, and the real worry set in. "It could be a fever. It just means your body temperature is higher than it should be typically, usually because of an infection. If you're shivering but you feel warm sometimes that's part of why. I've got..." he thought he had anyway. "I'll be right back alright, we'll find out."
He left the room at a reasonable pace, but as soon as he was out of sight he bounded up the large staircase to his main bathroom. None of the others held anything useful, but this one had a few things. An ear thermometer, Tylenol, a chest rub. He hadn't needed anything but the thermometer since he'd moved in, but he'd brought them with him thinking he'd be a long ways from calling his mom to come over and check on him.
"How's the soup?" He asked as he returned into the room. "I can check your temperature here with this, if that's alright. We'll see what it's like, and if it's high, then I've got some medicine I can give you to help you feel a little better while your body is fighting it down."
