Adrian raised a mug of coffee to the toast, which, all things considered, he thought was pretty nice. "Here here." He was sitting at an angle from Ren, but not at the opposite end of the communal table, because fuck that. He could appreciate the hard work Ren had done to pull this thing together, and if his general bad mood at the tail end had been sort of a mystery, everybody had bad times, right?
Personally, sinking his time and attention into costumes had been a welcome distraction. He'd taken to it faster and with more aplomb than he'd really expected. Some of the costumes were pretty questionable, but some looked pretty good, very retro, very period-appropriate, and he felt weirdly good about it. It felt decent to celebrate with pancakes for dinner.
