Re: [Ragnar L & Atticus M : Museum]
Atticus returned the look. Had given up everything for the freedom to return a look if he felt inclined. Would never have done it, probably, not then. But didn't see any reason not to do it now. Returned the look, chuckled warmly. His expression was open. Invitation. Not today or now, perhaps, but another time.
"Sanctuary. Good word," Atticus agreed. Was a good way to describe Repose. Sounded positive. Most people he knew didn't look at it positively. Atticus thought being negative was too much work. Felt down recently, so he drank. Was easier than being down.
"Know the Iliad," he agreed. Nodded at the mention of the Shield of Achilles. "Believe women are smarter and stronger than men think they are. Terrifying." Wasn't lying. Wasn't exaggerating. Women were formidable. "Would rather you show me the sights in Valhalla. Can keep the shield maidens for yourself." The lazy grin he gave Ragnar made it very clear that he, Atticus, had very little use for maidens of any kind.
Clapped Ragnar on the back again. A little less slur. A little steadier gait. Would be leaving here soon to find a good hole in the wall, somewhere to drink. But not for a few minutes yet. "Have me for a few minutes yet. Let's make them worth it." He glanced over at Ragnar. "Will also need to owe you a drink, after the holiday, for showing me around. Maybe on the way to see those books," he suggested.
