Re: quicklog: connie and cris awkward blind date
[Her first instinct was to stop time and run until she was at the B&B. Just book it in her dumb little dress, through the cold that couldn't touch her and hide behind the desk for the rest of time. Day dreams of some guy who didn't care that she was weird, who liked her time travel powers, who maybe wanted to use them for pranks one day, all crumbled into dust. Nothing. Connie shook her head, eyes already watering up because how could she be so stupid and turned to give the guy behind the counter a small apology and moved away from him and from Cris.
With her back turned, she felt comfortable enough to turn her powers on. She slowed everything down until time was at a stand-still and sobbed into her hand, cursing herself for trying. The world froze and she managed to pull herself together. To Cris, it would only feel like the gravity in the room got heavier for a couple seconds. Then everything was back to normal and she turned to look at him, eyes red and angry.] Thanks, but no. I think I'm way better off staying away from the both of you. I thought [She clenched her fists and then laughed, this time looking a lot like the creepy girl people liked to chat about.] I thought I made some new friends, but I guess I was totally wrong. [Connie tried desperately to fit back into that slacker, smirking gimmick that she found the most comfortable. She just couldn't make it happen.]
