Re: [Outside the Rec Center.]
"I was with Erica in college for most of freshman year, to right before junior year. So, two years?" His longest relationship to date. Holly was probably going to say it didn't count. He was probably going to ask how long Noah went without anyone else or their disembodied asshole. "I didn't do anything with guys freshman year. Once we got together." Sophomore year was different, but still. Even his one-night-stands had been junior year and senior year. "In high school, before Bea, I dated—I don't know if you knew her—Gen? She, like, did art? For junior year and, like, the very beginning of senior year. Then there was Bea for two months. And then I just asked Gen to prom. But, she was dating a college dude." Which was all way more information than Holly had asked for. But, Noah offered it, like maybe it'd be helpful. He didn't know what to make of the 'rules,' dude, but he did think about it. "I'll slide into your DMs, baby, sure." He smiled. Like I said, he'd give it a shot—whatever 'it' was. And, yeah, no, the hangover definitely carried. "...What do you mean? I feel different? I've dated girls, but, the few dudes I've, like, liked, I got more attached to. I guess."
He laughed at the reassurance, but, yeah, he knew about the Viagra. He knew too that that wasn't always true, because Holly hadn't taken the little pill when they'd first talked or anything. Noah shook his head again, more vehemently. "It doesn't sound freaky. It sounds—I don't know. Isn't that what everybody wants?" The question would go unanswered, but it was more existential anyway. Noah was bouncing his foot, Holly was panicking, which meant Noah was trying not to panic, and he only stilled a little once Holly's fingers found the mark on his throat. He didn't know there was one there, but he guessed there was. Noah looked up at Holly, his open expression changing to one of... not dislike, but something. "It wouldn't have been easier. I just said I mind." He did mind! He didn't want Holly doing what he did, however fucked that was.
Holly rolled his eyes again, but Noah was focused on the desire bubbling up to be liked. By Noah. "You're not a fraud. I can see past a lot of that, you know." He tapped on one of Holly's temples. "You're not a fraud. I like you. You, dude. Even with my, like, inside look. That has to mean something." He thought it did, anyway. His phone, from the front seat, dinged. He didn't know what the notif was, but it just reminded him he was probably late. Noah groaned. "Hold that thought, okay?" He sat up, which made Holly have to sit up (and duck). Noah's cock was still hard, but panic had helped him out there. "Tell me where to drop you off, and—can—maybe I can come over, after seeing Bea?" His tone was hopeful, as he looked up at Holly, not actually making a move to get out of the Jeep yet.
