Re: [Outside the Rec Center.]
Yeah, okay, while Holly probably did speak the language of sexual interest fluently, and without Noah's assist, Noah wasn't convinced, man. It was too weird for an old dude to just drop cash. And for all he knew, Holly was just trying to make him, Noah, feel better about being jealous, which, ftr, he definitely was. He had been last night and he was now, but he was telling himself it wasn't, like, anything he could actually be jealous about, because whatever this was—FWB or something else—Noah had no claim to Holly or to what he did with his time or with who. Plus, it's not like he wouldn't take $3k if some old dude offered it to him, even if there were strings attached he never planned to deliver on.
Noah yawned a little as Holly leaned forward, and he watched the fall of hair on pale nape as the other dude rooted around his backpack for his phone. Holly balanced it on his knee, and Noah smiled, pleased by small, stupid things. "Whatever," was his answer to Holly's car argument. He'd made the offer, and if Holly wanted to borrow the Jeep, he could. It was probably totally obvious by now that if Holly wanted something, dude, Noah would try to give it to him, no matter the cost. Because, in the end, it was all worth it. Holly smiled, sincere and small, and it warmed Noah from the inside out. He smiled back, obviously happy of the effect. "Okay. I have a microwave too, if you want it. My roommate sold it to me for $20 bucks when we moved out of the dorms."
Noah didn't ever really behave. He was a nice boy, but he wasn't a good boy. And he wanted to lean and nap too, dude. A lot. But, Holly had other plans, because he removed Noah's arm from its comfortable perch. Noah sighed and he leaned his head back against the wall. "I won't lose my job." But, Noah was easily assuaged, and he smiled when his hand was taken, almost content. He sat a little closer, so their hands were between thighs, and he leaned against Holly as Holly used his free hand to type to people on his phone. Noah finished his Gatorade and daubed his lips on the inside of his elbow, before glancing over at that spear of panic as it flashed through him. "What's up?" His frowned returned and he glanced at Holly's phone, close as it was. He could see the forum pulled up on the small screen. "What is it?"
