Who: Gabe & Sasha What: Finding each other Where: The motel When: Dawn, after this Warnings/Rating: TBD
It would have been easier, perhaps, for Sasha to simply ask Gabriel where he was staying and find him that way, but easier didn't mean safer and Sasha wanted to be sure.
It wasn't difficult for him to go out to the edge of town and try scenting the air for a signature scent that had become more familiar to him than his mother's or father's ever did. He caught it too, the one who was more than mother, father, the one who was brother and comfort and safety and his wolf heart leapt in his throat. He followed the scent, looking like some dazed drug addict with his pretty face tilted upwards, his nose leading his body which was thin and donned in clothes he'd grabbed from the front door of a thrift store in the town he'd been in before Repose, taken before anyone had woken up.
He'd lost pieces of himself since the last time he'd seen his brother, metaphorically and literally as he fought to not tuck his hair behind his clipped ear with a stiff left arm. He wasn't the timid and suppressed creature he was now the last time he'd seen his brother either, but he never worried that Gabriel might not know it was him; he'd know his brother from the sound of his heart beat and he didn't doubt it was the same.
Reminiscence had let his feet carry him to where the scent was strongest, round the back of a motel and up to one of the doors. Sasha's heart raced - this is where Gabriel was, or where he was staying at least, a definite improvement on the broken down forest hut he'd been staying in as a wolf.
Biting his torn lip in anxiety, Sasha knocked and hoped for the best.
