Re: Coffee: Noah & Bea
Noah knew Bea was weird. She had some weird thing, and he knew that. He sort of figured maybe she saw ghosts like he sometimes did, but it was more than that. Either way, he'd figured it out a long time ago, and he hardly paid any attention to it now. He sat next to her, and she explained that, yes, mano-a-mano meant alone, and Noah nodded. He hadn't really expected her to agree to take him along, so he was only minimally disappointed. He smiled at her not-joke, but it was another show of sympathy, rather than amusement, and he offered her that one-armed hug. "He'll pick up," he said with confidence. He just had to give Holly her actual number, so he knew who it was.
Black hair blew upward, then floated back down, and Noah nodded again. "Sure, just let me know if you want me." She looked over, and he looked back, as earnest as ever. "Let's do some B&E." He smiled again, small and soft, and stood first, one palm to pavement. He straightened with a grunt. Once he was up, he offered his hand to Bea, and, if she took it, hoisted her up and into another hug. It was just meant to be comforting, and he was too used to the eyes of Repose to care. With that, he let her go, so they could make their ways to their respective cars. He'd follow her to the neighborhood. "I have a ski mask in my car," he assured her with a smile and he gave her a small wave as he headed for his Jeep. "See you there, Queenie." When it was all said and done, he really needed to call Holly. And maybe take a nap. This was exhausting.
