Re: BBQ: Damian, Leena, Misha & Sadie
Misha, he was glad they were all meeting up today how they were. He was worried some 'bout Damian's reaction to Tim taking up and leaving, and he reckoned Damian being 'round Leena and Sadie, it would go a whole long way to reminding Damian that he still had kin 'bout. Sadie, she was kin, least far as Misha reckoned, and he knew Damian loved his sister real well, so he was glad of this gathering. He was looking forward to it, too, on account of he found he liked being 'round groups. It was something he remembered keen from New York, and he still liked it. 'Specially recent, when things felt real uncertain on the air, least to him, and this was easy and light, and sometimes that was plenty important in a life. Everything wasn't Lucifer, the Vatican, and folks losing their minds over infrasound, and he reckoned this was a good reminder 'bout that, too.
He had his fiddle in the backpack he carried slung over one shoulder, 'long with a speaker for his phone and whatever Damian had wanted to bring 'long, and he was dressed simple. All boy, nothing special any, and he had Damian's hand in his, fingers clung loose, and he was swinging their hands 'tween them, just on account of it was the type of frivolity he reckoned Damian would fake glare at.
It was pretty out, the days picking up crisp, and he saw Leena and Sadie up there ahead. Sadie, she was real colorful, and Leena looked like she and Damian went shopping in the same stores, and Misha reckoned he didn't look far off himself today. All the stark grays made Misha's eyes a real pale blue as they crinkled up some at the corners as they approached the girls. He liked seeing Leena smile, and he was real glad Sadie seemed bright. She'd been sad some since returning from Kentucky, he knew, but now he just felt good things from the girls they were approaching.
He didn't touch Leena when they got close, but he gave her a smile and a nod. "Real good to see you, Leena," he said, genuine as could be. Sadie, she got herself scooped up in a greeting hug, then placed her back down on them black boots 'fore he reached back and hauled Damian on back, with tugged fingers, to say hello, case he was lingering back any.
