At first, there appeared to be no reaction whatsoever. Thew black continued to flow, and the thickening dark deep down the path did not shift itself.
Then the Obscurus seemed to flex along its length, a disturbances rolling through it like waves, and the darkness began to coagulate. There was a sense, then a reality, of the fingers of a hand. The figure had no skin, still smoke and dark water, but there was indeed a human figure nestled at its heart. Its eyes were mist white, and smoked a fine, thick, curling smoke.
Its voice was deep as the roar that had carried it into the forest, and eddied in its every part. There was no echo in this cave, all strangely muffled. "Can't," it said. The Obscurus pulsed. "Screaming," it said.
