I assume this was the aforementioned bottom, if you want it up there just lemme know!
This had not been Fen's favorite week. He likely couldn't have picked one in the endless years of his existence if he'd wanted to, what with barely putting stock in the passing of most of his days since leaving the Vale, but this? This had been madness. The sound had driven him to frenzy and rage at first, but sense and reason had prevailed long enough to see his form driven from the wood. It was the same as it had been in his youth, when his insides felt like they were cut and torn, and there had been no place he could think to go but to the haven his siblings had always represented.
Fen had almost taken to all fours, just to make the trek faster, but a lifetime of careful moving about had given him enough sense to see through the lunacy that infected his mind and he'd arrived upright Haggard looking and his jaw clenched in unison with a pair of fists, his clothes told a clear tale of Fen having found an outlet for his frustrations, but it had done little to slake his temper.
Nothing had, at least not until he'd stepped beyond the threshold and practically dropped to a knee in relief. He wouldn't of course, being too tied to not show his weakness even in front of those he implicitly trusted would not take advantage of it. He'd taken time to inform them both that he was 'fine', and had uttered no shortage of threats and promises of carnage directed at whatever the source was, but had been equally clear that he had no interest in venturing back out there into the world, even when Nel herself had gone. He knew himself, he knew what he would do if loosed upon the world...
So it was that Fen was largely quiet, answering questions and talking when spoken to directly, and for the first day and his eyes glued on the door like a dog waiting to snarl and snap its teeth at anyone who even dared knock. His temper had always been an intense thing and, even with his siblings care (which was decidedly how he saw their treatment of him) it would take some time to see his fur settle into its even mane. By the second he did indeed take the shape of a dog, finding it easier to maintain himself (if not justify his snapping if anyone else had shown up), and simply padded along in a hover behind one of his siblings if not helping himself to a place to rest on the sofa in a way that looked 'normal'.
There was considerable comfort to be found in his siblings though and Fen had taken that for exactly what it was.
Eventually however the sanctuary would provide him a sense of calm and the noise would pass, allowing for Fen to hold an upright pose without the same concern for keeping up appearances and he was now helping himself to a drink on one of the couches as his free hand smoothed up through dark hair.
"If that happens again..." He spoke to whichever of them was about, his voice dripping with a threat unfinished and he shook his head with a snort of displeasure.
