Re: Loitering: Cat C & Reece E
"I'm not laughing at you," she assured him, and she wasn't. "I just worried for a long, long time, you know, that it was me. But it wasn't, and it's kind of reassuring." Which was the simple and least eloquent way to say it, but it was also honest. And, you know, why not be honest every once in a while? And she could tell he didn't like the dating thing, but she was following her gut, and her gut said it was a good thing. They needed time to talk and deal, and this would give them that. If he got together with someone else in the meantime? Well, that was what she had claws for. "It'll be fine," she promised him, and, all things considered, she sounded pretty reassuring.
The kiss? Also reassuring. He pressed his tongue into her mouth, and she met that with a lick and a tangle. A lick to his lower lip, and her tongue tangling up with his. Her fingers moved along his jaw and down, and they lingered there and against his chin, beneath it. His skin felt softer than hers did, she knew, and her fingertips traced down to his adam's apple. She sighed against his mouth, the sound growing teeth and purr when he tugged, which, you know, unexpected. Unexpected, but not unwanted, and she pressed her free hand to the couch cushion and levered herself closer. She uncrossed her legs, and she tucked one leg beneath her, lifting herself a little higher to slant her mouth against his with no small amount of possession. After all, she was who she was.
