Re: Loitering: Cat C & Reece E
"I know no one's the same. I'm not saying I'm super unique. Just, you said I was gay and then smiled, like it was funny? Or something?" He shrugged, clearly more confused than anything resembling offended. Actually, Reece was an idiot had forgotten his reveal. When he wasn't stewing in things, he tended to lose sight of them, at least for the moment. Which was why his coping mechanism of avoidance had worked for so long, probably.—When Cat explained that seeing other people was what dating was, and Reece pouted slightly, but he couldn't argue with the reasoning there. "Yeah. I guess that makes sense." It was mumbled. He wasn't sure that Cat wouldn't see other people. She had last time. But, he couldn't blame her, he guessed.
Reece kissed Cat, since this was the apparent litmus test for their relationship, and, for a second, she was still. Had he had one more second to process it, he might have worried he'd done something wrong. But, she kissed him back soon enough. He felt lips part under his own and he hesitated. He took a breath, which was really her breath, and then he kissed Cat harder. He tipped his head slightly and parted his own lips. No one would ever call Reece brave, but, he felt it in the moment, with his heart pounding in his ears, as he dared push his tongue over the threshold of Cat's lips. He searched for her tongue, and if and when he found it, man, it was like a miniature lightning bolt went through him. Zing! And straight to—well, you know. Why he liked that, he had no idea, but he did like it, and, a little haltingly, he put his hand over hers, metal on skin, before he found Cat's white collar and... pulled. Come here?. Yeah, that was it. Come here, a little closer.
