Re: Loitering: Cat C & Reece E
Cat didn't notice his gaze. Honestly? She didn't really expect Reece to notice her in a sexual way. Alright, so he'd definitely been more interested when she was male, but she still wasn't expecting it. So, no, Cat, who noticed everything, didn't notice this. She did notice he was being twitchy about something, but she assumed it was the new body, and she was completely unaware of anything about analog models and fictional friends. Point being, Cat wasn't expecting anything from this evening, not a hookup, not a desire on Reece's part to slip away somewhere secluded. Nothing, but, hopefully, something that could taste like friendship. She remembered before they embarked on this mess they called a relationship, and they'd been able to talk about everything once, and that wouldn't be a bad start.
"I think we can fudge and call me a senior," she said of who would teach the record playing classes. She ran a hand through her hair, fingers cupping her scalp from temple and backward. "See any gray?" she asked, and she didn't mind him teasing about her age. Funny, wasn't it? Once upon a time, being older than Reece had seemed the worst possible thing. These days? She found she didn't mind it. This body? Was definitely older than his.
Did she realize he was considering peeling out? Sure, but she knew he wouldn't. He was here, and that meant he at least wanted to talk. And there was still something he hadn't told her, right? So, she sat on the stairs, and she was currently near the height she'd been as a woman, somewhere around 5'10, which put her a good deal shorter than him, but she didn't mind. "It's good to see you too. Feel like telling me what you were alluding to in writing, or should I give you some more time to get used to the face?"
