Re: Ragnar and Marta: Museum
It was still an easy thing to follow along, to let him lead her through the exhibit. Every once in a while, there was another touch to her back, and she started to get used to them, not startling like she had at first. With so little contact lately, even of the unwanted sexual kind, just having another person near enough to touch is a novelty along with the exhibit.
Marta was quiet as Ragnar spoke about his exhibit, enjoying his knowledge and how willing he was to share it. Mostly, her attention was on the artifacts, with his voice as only a sort of simple guide. But every once in a while she looked up, each time with a small smile on her face. She'd never really gone to a museum before (except long ago through school, and that was much, much different), and she was finding that she enjoyed it very much.
"I don't think I could do that to someone else. Make them be buried with me. Or animals." It made her think of the dogs at Seven's house, of Devi and how she'd still been a puppy when Marta left. What if Marta had died and Devi'd still been a puppy? Putting a puppy in a tomb seemed cruel to her...
"Egypt..." she added quietly at the end of his monologue. She knew that much, with the pyramids and mummies that she'd read about.
