"He's..." James paused then, knowing that laughter in this moment wasn't exactly appropriate, but he was still reeling over the amazing choice made by whoever assigned them rooms. That was where all good decision making stopped it seemed. The more he'd heard from Harry the angrier he'd gotten. Angry and something else he couldn't really describe. The feeling that he'd abandoned his son, even if unintentionally. By dying, he'd given him this life and it stung. Not that he would tell Lily that, though.
"I think there's more that Harry has to tell us," James said, stroking her hair gently. "We've missed a lot... Once we get out of here, though. One step at a time, okay?"
