Regardless of Theodore's thoughts or intentions, the Minister sat up slightly at his comment, more than ready to take validation where it was offered. He understood on a deeper level that he was still very much responsible, even if it was an error of judgement issue rather than implication in the corruption itself. However, his more trusting nature (the one that had gotten him into this mess in the first place) combined with the added stress the situation had put him under meant that he was particularly responsive to sympathetic comments.
He cleared his throat, returning to the conversation with a little more confidence. "With prosecution of the three individuals responsible – Gudgeon, Barnfield, and Cavanagh - dismissal of those who were complicit from any position related to the reoccurrence, and a total restructuring of the RMT."
