Alicia was very determined on keeping the pizza recipe a secret, Benjy noted with a smirk. So he let her keep her secret, knowing the importance of old family recipes and whatnot. So although he was still in the kitchen, he wasn't at all paying attention to what she was mixing up.
He was glad to hear the movie in the DVD was a good choice, and he understood about needing to wait until the pizza was done. There was no sense in getting something started until they had their food in front of them, after all. And food was the most important thing going on.
Benjy followed her back toward the television and watched her movements closely. "So this rectangle is for this box," Benjy said, touching the remote control and the DVD player. "And the other rectangle is for the telly?" He wasn't sure if he had it right, he could've totally had the rectangles flipped around. But he'd never get it right if he didn't ask.
